Adapt Media Inc. was started in 2000 by Jamie Thompson, a young entrepreneur from Vancouver, BC. Following half a decade of growth, Adapt Media has evolved to become a driving force in the outdoor advertising industry.
Adapt Media’s recently redesigned poster frames are constructed from durable aluminum and tempered glass. The quality of the signs is comparable or superior to those of transit shelter advertisement frames (TSA). All Adapt Media signs are visible to vehicle traffic, pedestrians, walk-by and customers entering the store.
In order to satisfy the needs of the major advertising agencies, AMI became a member of the Canadian Outdoor Measurement Bureau (COMB). This membership in COMB provides circulation rates which can then be translated to Gross Rating Points (GRP’s), a rating tool that is required by many advertising agencies for large purchases. In 2003 Adapt Media was confirmed as the only full member of COMB that advertises at point-of-purchase locations, and is rated as being seen by drive-by traffic, thus being measured in the same category as transit shelters.
Rapidly climbing the ranks to becoming a major player in the outdoor market, Adapt Media has expanded beyond its British Columbia locations and now offers a Canada-wide network of sign facings in major cities across the country. Adapt Media’s coverage includes over 550 signs in nearly 40 towns and cities from Vancouver to Halifax.
